thats a lie.

work today, play tomorrow and the next day and the next day and so forth. I just stopped working today. I came home and instantly went into transcribing mode. I have just sat down. Well i made myself a lovely sandwich and salad and listened the CBC radio 1. They had a story about a dog park near windsor and then a story on all that missing gold and right after faded into pink floyd’s money. – brilliant! so i am sitting for a brief minute. then going out for my cousins 13th birthday gathering. leaving here in a mere minutes. then i have to make potato salad and then work some more on this new blog www.office-slacker.info – Quotes of an Office Slacker. funny shit. only to get better. pure gold and so forth! i work on computers alot and am not afraid of them. this potato salad better actually get made this time – i promise i promise! i also want to make black bean burgs for the bbq – but maybe i’ll do that on wednesday mornin – or will i be too hung? ah shit – that’s what always happens – too hung to do anything. tension is high in the house as my brother is registering for classes tomorrow and my mum is always up in his business and its sick disgusting and i am afraid of how that will translate to me next year. let’s obsess over every little word. arh puke pike exunet!!

UPDATE: making potato salad while listening to the Massey Lectures on CBC – Margret Atwood. There is a old people party next door and as i was coming into the house (after hanging out with babes for a bit(babies)) i was loudly whispering “keep it down over there” “it’s a goddamn monday night” “some of us have to work tomorrow” lol well the roles will be reversed on wednesday lol. more to do more to do never stop moving!

recap: job, freelance work, cousins 13th bday gathering, potato salad, resume revising, and updating two different blogs and it’s only monday – i am officially superwoman!

Just got back into the city after a rainy weekend at the cottage  (not mine). I have no photographs or much memory come to think about it, about this weekend.  Here is what I do remember:

We watched Miracle Dogs Friday when we got to the cottage on Granite lake. Then we played Clue and Pictionary Jr. while drinking some white wine.  Jessie went to bed while the boys watched Point Break and Erin and I gossiped.

Saturday morning Jessie and I woke up and watched I Do (but I don’t) starring Dean Cain and Denise Richards. Then we watched the classic 1994 movie Speed. At about 2:30 ish we started drinking and I drank like 4 beers super fast and felt wasted. Had a little MJ tribute while drinking on the deck (in the rain). This is where things get fuzzy. A couple of us went wakeboarding in the mist and the rest of us went for the boatride. This is when things really get fuzzy – when we start drinking Absenth -straight from the Czech Republic. I know we played Rock Band for a while and I sang really well. I know we had dinner but things get a little blurry. I am told Jessie, Erin and I were singing disney songs at the top of our lungs while lying in a single bed and that may be the reason that Jessie can barely talk today. Things are blurry and then all of a sudden I am so thirsty and i start drinking everything in sight and am like why am i so thirsty? I have been drinking all day!! then i convince everyone to put What’s Eating Gilbert Grape on – don’t even watch the end – no idea what time we went to bed.

We woke up at 9 ish this morning and started watching What about Bob? – we were sad that it was still rainy and windy out. I tried calling charlie and annika but their cells were off. Finally it turns out that they have been “Stranded” on the island since yesterday as it got super windy after they got there. No one even went to the social in town because it was so windy and boats sank. So i don;t feel bad for missing it.

So now i am tired, feel like i have been shoving crap in my body for the last 2 days – i didn;t change my clothes the entire time i was at the cottage – i literally came back in the same clothes, including underwear, that i left in. gross huh? i still feel gross after a shower. and now it;s cold out!! where did summer go???

this week is going to be crazy busy! tomorrow is my second cousins birthday, i also have to do “freelance” work after my daytime job and i HAVE TO MAKE POTATO SALAD for the Canada Day BBQ that I am going to have because if i dont do it tomrrow it will never get down! it would also be nice to make those black bean burgers! then tuesday is the Goldeyes game (baseball) and i think that night might turn debacherous and then the next day is my drunkfest all day BBQ and then the next day i have to go to work hungover and sickly and then Andrew comes that night! then friday the weekend starts all over again with a huge party out at the island with all my friends. sick shit! how will i survive??

i am going to try to get this new website i have planned in my mind out onto the interweb. stay posted.

Jessaroo is distracting me from my whine blogging. whine whine whine i have spent every waking hour in front of a computer and if i type any more my fingers will fall offff. too many jobs no time too hot too sweaty too many forms to fill out blah blah blah. okay let’s just make this all about the pictures so i can finally get to watching all that tv that i pvr-ed tonight, including .. canada’s next top model and the little couple. i still have tons of wife swap that i pvr-ed ut never got around to watching… okay the pics the pics… random – i totally havent downloaded pics from my  cam for quite some time so let’s take a journey into the past!!

Way back in the day when hockey was the game du jour. Moose -Calder Cup Playoffs. Tell me if you like or don’t like the pictures displayed like this or if you want them like how i used post them. I was just lazy and trying something new, and not so excited.

peace i got some paperwork to fill out and some tv to watch y0!

it’s flipping hot out! last night i slept with an air conditioner and a fan on!! i dont think my air conditioner is working well or is it me? in front of it it feels cool but it doesn seem to cool the whole room down enough, hence the fan in my face. i am a good girl i got some work done tonight! then i found out that jon and kate does equal hate despite their constant proclamations that they do not hate each other. i am not sure how i can watch that show anymore now that the family has fallen apart despite the obvious aid of perhaps ending the show, but they rather take the money over their marriage, children, and sanity. How could you end the marriage before ending the show? At least see what can happen. Kate was all like this would have happened even if we weren’t on the show – but seriously the dissolving of their marriage has a lot to do with their show obviously!

my cat is being silly and lying on the floor beside my bed. i am being silly by not being in bed right now even though i am sitting in the dark on my computer watching tv and waiting for the room to cool down!!!

i think that summer has arrive and that i am ill prepared in the clothing department! seriously have i ever owed shorts! i never have enough. and my work summer wardrobe is killing me! I wish that i didnt have to wear sweaters to work everyday to cover my tats bilshiv!! it gets soooo hot! and i need to do my toenails so i can wear sandals in the office 0- my barefeet sweat in my shoes and i take them off and then my feet start to stink up the godamn place!!!

it looks like my canada day drunkfest bbq plans are going to work out!! this week = work and next week (and the week after and the week after and the week after)= play.

holy f bomb please let us never be apart this long again! Can I officially pronounce it to be summer? Yes I can cause it is in so many ways – technically, weather-wise, and socially!! I remember in the winter i would never go out during the week and would be in bed by 9 p.m. sometimes. Now I am so busy I sometimes don’t have time to go on the interweb and I can;t go to bed before 11 during the week. I was like seriously – the only thing that has change is now it’s summer and all these friends have come out of the fucking wood work!

I am scratching 2 of my many mosquito bites that i am covered in. i also have some semi sunburnt legs. another successful lake weekend! We had a great time basking in the hot sun and drinking, playing bags or “cornholing”, stealing propane, talking to old ladies about whorey pacoons – some sort of flower, reading my murder mystery, laughing at my hilariously drunk cousin, swimming, rowing, seadooing, hanging out with the dogs – roxy and shooter the one eyed golden, and so forth.

Okay so I am going to get my act together and get some major work done this weekend – i have let it slip a bit as of late – as summer has swept me off my feet. let me recap:

Wednesday: Charlie’s birthday. Everyone came over after work for rick burgers and cake. then we went to the bomber game where charles proceeded to get bombed. we won 32-22 (over the ti-cats). Went out afterwards and charlie was a very funny drunk.

Thursday: Picked up Annika after work and we went to the Red River Ex and went on crazy rides and also saw Sam Roberts perform a wicked set while we ate 28 mini donuts for $4.00. We realized that we are getting too old for spiny rides as they now make as sick and pukey feeling, but we still had a great time and laughed like i haven’t in years – tears and all.

As I was saying – I have to work hard this week – real hard – maybe go to a movie on tuesday, work on wednesday and on thursday looters is going to hooters!

I think my family gets the hint that i want a dog and sure i could go out and get one but i dont feel right doing it without their permission but summer is sad with no pup. So of course we are out in the car and i am blabbing on about dogs – when we get to our destination 2 pugs arrive! super cute and cuddly. I mean I dont want a pug but i enjoyed their brief company. i want a dog!!! what to do! what to do!!!

thoughts on the new look of my blog???

I think I have been waiting for this moment all day long. The weekend – was amazing! I seriously did not expect such nice weather and pictured us by the fire inside after bravely swimming like we did at this time last summer. Nope! Charlie, Annika and I drove down together and left the city before 5 while the others -kayli, kelly, lucko, and ryan took a bit longer to leave. We arrived and set up camp and charlie drove in around sunset to pick everyone up at the marina while annika and i listen to the end of the frightful moose game (which is never to be spoken of again) and we were climbing the hill carrying a static-y radio when we heard that the penguins beat the red wings! yay! We had a jolly night singing at the top of our lungs and tested out a few of our fire works.(Un)fortunatly, we lit one upside down and it flew into the lake exploding as it went and then flew into the trees and went off some more- just exploding all around us! Nothing caught on fire or blew up! We stargazed and saw a few shooting stars. The next day was gorgeous – i decided to wear an old one piece bathing suit of my mums and we blew up this giant raft that my dad had bought that has 5 seats and 2 coolers! it was a bit windy out and we kept blowing into the shore – we though it would be great if we could get out to this rock (with a pole sticking out of it) in the middle of the lake and tie ourselves to it. so ryan actually dragged us along shore as far as he could and then we paddled like crazy and actually made it! So we floated the afternoon away in a raft tied to a rock in the middle of the lake with a bottle of schnapps, a bottle of wine, a bottle of rum, and like 24 beers – all 7 of us! Unfortunately none of us put sunscreen on our legs…but we didnt discover that until much later. Then when we ran out of beer we floated back and i made my (deadly) bucket of punch and played catch phrase on the deck (this was probably around 4 or 5). The punch turned out to be deadly – i soon found out later – (and had a discrete pukefest)after that some of us lay down and then some of us went to see the sunset and we ended up losing people all over the (24 acre) island – we finally found each other – i was hungover at this point and tried to keep awake for more fireworks (oh ya i def had my leopard onsie on by this point). we pumped ourselves up for the fireworks and they were fantastic (but next time we will chip in even more money). the last firework went off and somehow ended up shooting off in the trees next to us and again i thought we were going to burn the island down – but everything was okay. we saw some more shooting stars and again sang at the top of our lungs! all in all it was a pretty fantastic weekend and i wish i was in that raft right now! and oh yea we listened to the dumb and dumber soundtrack on repeat all weekend…..
