MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE
Merry Christmas Eve day! I am stuck at work at this point of my day….
And so very tired.
Last night Jessie, Ben and I went to see 4 christmases (after showing Jessie how to play cooking mama). We also tried my beans that I pickled back in the fall when I was unemployed and I did good-they were fantastic! We brought them to the movie but ended up buying treats and forgetting about them!
Monday was the deep fry and all I ended up eating was copious amounts of potatoes and mushrooms in different forms! I also spiked the already alcoholic utility bucket punch!
I have not slept in forever it seems! Maybe this Christmas I will for once! My grandma is not well enough to sleep over for Christmas like she always has since grandpa died. So it’s gonna be kind of weird and we also don’t have to go to church. But I cant remember the last time it was just the four of us on Christmas morning….i guess I‘ll just have to get use to it……
Anyways! Only like 2.5 hours till I can go home!

Hey!
Awww I know you just wanna spend time with me and so do I!!! And we will have tons of time trust me, and even if we go back to Oakville for that day we can totally just hang.
I cannot really change this tradition, hate to sound dark, but you just never know what could happen and I would feel really guilty… BUT I want you to do what you want to do that day, of course I would rather you come with me, lol, but if you really do not want to deal with parentals then I totally understand and I am sure Holly would love to see you.
I really do not see my family that much, ecpecially with the last couple of months being so crazy with school…and I know that this is pretty important to them.
I am sure we can figure something out and focus on just having a super fun time, we can’t let one day get the best of this trip.

I guess I just don’t totally understand why you have to go after spending the whole holidays with your family. I thought we could start a new tradition….

Sorry I guess it is because a lot of my friends usually have family dins on the 1st, I just assumed u would be okay with this…we can still be lazy I do not live too far from oakville! If you really do not want to come with me then arrange some thing with holly or kristen.

I am looking into booking a hotel for us for the 31st and the 1st. They seem to be some available-and I am looking around the U of T. I think it would be fun and much more relaxing! Spending New Years day in a hotel room, in pjs, sipping mimosas! And since I am a working girl now I can splurge!!

I feel super bad about this whole situation and I should have given you much more detail but I really cannot back out of this with my family, it’s like Chrismas day…. But I promise we can head back to Oakville, wear our pyjamas and still sip on mimosas and watch dvds…
BUT I also do not want to ruin your plans…so if you really do not want to go back then just meet up with Hols or Kristen for the day….. I am really cool with whatever….I just want everyone to be happy in the end…

So I suddenly find myself in the dead of winter, in the heart of a high rise office building, in downtown Winnipeg, and I ask myself, how did I get here?
I am sitting in a cubicle with Christmas lights and snowflakes decorating it, just moments ago the cd of Christmas carols in the cubicle to the right of me ended. I ask myself, how did I get here? It is casual Friday, brown tweed converse, grey skinny jeans, and a red and black plaid button up, oh and of course the signature thick black nerd glasses. I wake up and its dark out, I come home and its dark out, and there is no window that I can look out of during the day. My life is lit my fluorescents. Until two days ago I had no electricity in my bedroom and bathroom for 2 weeks, in the dead of winter. I find myself working during the day and hiding during the night, how did I get here?
